New Year Message from the President

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2024

As we step into the New Year, it is with immense joy and hope that I extend my heartfelt wishes to you, your family, and your loved ones. May this year be marked a the year of triumph for us all. For Arise South Africa, 2024 is not just another year; it's a pivotal moment in our nation's journey.

Drawing Inspiration from the Past

Our situation mirrors a story from the Book of Samuel. Just like David, who returned from war to find his city in ruins, we too find our beloved South Africa in a state of despair. The challenges of 2023, from load shedding to corruption, from rampant crime to unemployment, have left deep scars.

But, as David did, we too shall seek wisdom and guidance. The message for Arise South Africa is clear as we march into 2024: pursue, overtake, and recover. We are determined to challenge the political landscape, to rise above the complacency and corruption that have plagued our nation.

The Threefold Strategy for 2024

1. Pursue: Every member of Arise South Africa must embody the spirit of pursuit as we gear up for the 2024 elections. Like David's warriors, we must be prepared for this battle. There is no room for complacency; every day is an opportunity for action.

2. Overtake: Overtaking the entrenched political systems is our supernatural goal. This task requires more than just hard work; it demands an extraordinary effort that surpasses what has been done before. It's about mobilising, sharing the message of Arise South Africa, and using our resources to create a significant impact.

3. Recover: Our country has immense potential, yet it lies neglected. Post-2024, our focus will be on rejuvenating every aspect of our nation – from electricity to education. It's about restoring functionality and hope.

Engagement and Mobilisation

Our path to victory involves active engagement. Wear your Arise South Africa t-shirts with pride, mobilise groups, get people registered to vote. Every interaction, every social media post, every fundraising event is a step towards our goal.

Leaders at all levels – regional, provincial, and national – should hold regular meetings, maintain high discipline, and keep morale soaring. We're not just fighting for an election win; we're fighting for the soul of South Africa.

The Eagle's Flight

Embrace the symbol of our movement - the mighty eagle. Let's spread our wings across South Africa, ushering in the change we seek.

2024: Our Year of Victory

I declare, as President of Arise South Africa, that 2024 is our 1994. It's the year we will see victory in elections, in our branches, regions, and provinces. This victory will not be confined to our political endeavours alone; it will permeate every aspect of our lives.

With renewed spirit and unshakeable faith in our cause, we march forward into this year of victory. Together, let's make 2024 a landmark year in the history of our nation. We are ready, we are able, and we are unstoppable.

Happy New Year, and here's to making 2024 a triumphant year for Arise South Africa and for each one of us.

In solidarity and hope,

Mpho Dagada

President, Arise South Africa

Unmasking the Crisis: South Africa's Cash-in-Transit Heists Through the Eyes of Mpho Dagada

In a country where the morning news often features another cash-in-transit heist, it's time to look beyond the headlines. Mpho Dagada, a prominent voice in South Africa, draws our attention to this escalating crisis, suggesting that these heists are more than mere criminal acts. They could be deeply intertwined with the country's political fabric.

The Alarming Trend:

South Africa has witnessed a worrying increase in cash-in-transit heists. From January to August 2023 alone, the numbers are staggering. But what's more concerning is the potential linkage of these crimes to political entities, as Mpho Dagada points out. This raises critical questions about the integrity of our political system and law enforcement agencies.

The Political Angle:

Dagada urges us to consider the possibility that these heists are not just the work of ordinary criminals but might involve political figures looking to fund their campaigns or maintain their grip on power. This suspicion casts a long shadow over the upcoming elections and the political landscape of the nation.

A Broader Impact:

These heists don't just result in financial losses. They contribute to a broader sense of insecurity among South Africans. The fear and uncertainty ripple through communities, affecting everyday life and diminishing trust in governmental institutions.

Learning from Global Examples:

Mpho Dagada encourages us to look at countries like El Salvador, which have successfully tackled similar issues. By adopting innovative strategies and fostering a culture of accountability, there are lessons to be learned and applied in the South African context.

Call to Action:

Dagada emphasises the need for active citizen participation in politics. The upcoming 2024 elections present an opportunity for change. It's a chance to elect leaders committed to tackling not just the symptom (the heists) but the disease (corruption and political malfeasance).

Conclusion:

As Mpho Dagada rightly points out, solving the cash-in-transit heist crisis requires more than just heightened security measures. It requires a concerted effort from all sectors of society to demand transparency, accountability, and integrity in our political system. The future of South Africa depends on our collective action.

Revamping State Enterprises: Mpho Dagada's Urgent Plea

In a powerful discourse [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97LDCfqAHWE ], Mpho Dagada addresses the critical state of South Africa's state-owned enterprises (SOEs) under the ANC government. He pinpoints the reckless spending of over 300 billion in bailouts, illuminating the mismanagement and corruption plaguing these entities. These SOEs, including Transnet, Eskom, and South African Airways, are fundamental to the nation's functionality and development, yet they have become hotbeds for corruption and financial drainage.

Dagada articulates the dangers of this trajectory - a weakening state vulnerable to external exploitation and internal decay. He critiques the sale of national assets like South African Airways for minimal returns, resulting in a transfer of wealth from public to private hands, further eroding the nation's strength.

The core of Dagada's message is a call for a radical shift from this destructive pattern. He argues for a merit-based, technologically driven approach to managing SOEs. Drawing inspiration from successful models like Singapore, he emphasises that well-managed SOEs can significantly contribute to national growth. He advocates for proper financial management and qualified leadership, free from the shackles of political patronage and nepotism, as highlighted in the Zondo Commission.

Moreover, Dagada stresses the need for accountability and performance-driven management in these enterprises. This approach, coupled with the integration of technologies like blockchain, AI, and machine learning, can usher in a new era of efficiency and transparency.

As he looks towards the 2024 elections, Dagada calls for unity and active participation from all South Africans. He envisions a nation where technology and good governance converge to create a robust, prosperous South Africa, free from poverty and driven by capable, transparent leadership.

In conclusion, Mpho Dagada's message is clear: South Africa stands at a crossroads, and the path to empowerment lies in the revitalisation of its state-owned enterprises. It's a call to action for every South African to contribute to this transformation, ensuring a brighter future for the nation.

Gender-based violence and Femicide – A dreadful epidemic in South Africa

Gender-based violence (GBV) is a pervasive and deeply rooted issue in many societies around the world, and South Africa is unfortunately no exception. The country has grappled with high levels of GBV for many years, and it is often referred to as an epidemic due to the alarming rates of violence against women, children, and LGBTQ+ individuals.

Gender-based violence manifests in various forms that include physical, emotional, psychological, financial, or structural harm usually perpetrated by intimate partners, work colleagues, strangers, and even institutions

While many South African women and children fight for their lives, Social Development Minister Lindiwe Zulu is accused of deliberately bungling a R100 million transfer of funds. Funds which were meant for empowerment programmes for the survivors of gender-based violence and femicide (Allegedly).  According to Indiran Govender (2023) "Gender-based violence manifests in various forms that include physical, emotional, psychological, financial or structural harm usually perpetrated by intimate partners, work colleagues, strangers, and even institutions".

Despite legislative measures in place to address GBV, the enforcement of these laws can be weak. This may be due to a variety of factors, including inadequate training, resources, and a lack of sensitivity toward victims. Civil society organizations have taken steps to address gender-based violence, including the implementation of legislative measures, awareness campaigns, and support services for victims. However, the complex nature of the issue requires a multi-faceted approach that includes not only legal and policy measures but also changes in societal attitudes and economic structures.

Efforts to combat gender-based violence in South Africa and elsewhere require collaboration between government agencies, law enforcement, NGOs, and the community. Education and awareness campaigns that challenge harmful stereotypes, promote gender equality, and encourage reporting incidents are crucial components of any strategy to address this pervasive problem. Nearly half (48%) of citizens say violence against women and girls is a “somewhat common” (23%) or “very common” (25%) occurrence in their community.

988 women were killed between April 2020 and September 2022. This is Femicide. Femicide is generally understood to involve the intentional murder of women because they are women. We need to have effective support from the government, NGOs and civil society cannot fight this war on their own.

ANC Incompetence Uncovered!

In this video Mpho Dagada takes us through a journey into the heart of the ANC-led government, laying bare the startling levels of incompetence that were unearthed by the Zondo Commission. This insightful piece presents a critical analysis of the challenges and systemic issues plaguing the current administration.

The Zondo Commission investigations revealed a disturbing pattern of inadequacy and unpreparedness among individuals in key governmental roles. These findings are not just alarming but paint a picture of a government struggling with internal inefficiencies.

Central to this controversy is the ANC Cadre Deployment Committee, formerly chaired by Cyril Ramaphosa. The missing records and minutes from this committee's meetings have ignited a debate over the transparency and accountability of the government's deployment and decision-making processes. The absence of these critical documents poses serious questions about the governance practices within the ANC-led administration.

Mpho Dagada, with his incisive commentary and analytical prowess, delves into these issues, providing viewers with a nuanced understanding of the implications of these findings. His analysis brings to light the broader consequences of these administrative lapses on governance and public trust.

We encourage our readers to engage with this pressing issue and join the conversation about governmental accountability and transparency. Mpho Dagada's video is not just informative but a call to action for awareness and change in the political landscape.

Join us in this important discussion and stay informed about the latest developments in South African politics. Your voice matters in shaping a transparent, accountable, and competent government.

ESKOM HEIST: Uncovering ANC's

In a recent episode of the Penuel Show, Mpho Dagada, President of Arise South Africa, brought to light an issue of national importance that has been largely overlooked: the urgent need for nuclear energy in South Africa and the concerning allegations of Eskom's funds being looted by the ANC.

Dagada passionately explains the monopoly of electricity and its implications for South Africa. He highlights how owning electricity puts one in an unchallengeable position, with the power to set prices without scrutiny. This, he argues, is a gateway to deep-rooted corruption.

But Dagada's revelations don't stop there. He uncovers a larger, more complex scenario where South Africa, urged by international influences, is being pushed towards renewable energy sources like solar and wind, while the developed world continues to rely on coal. He calls this disparity a "climate cult," suggesting a double standard in global environmental policies.

The crux of Dagada's argument lies in the alleged manipulation by the ANC. He describes how South African leaders, lacking in capital, have been lured by foreign loans and grants, ostensibly for building independent power stations. These financial maneuvers, Dagada asserts, have been exploited by the ANC to establish control over electricity, leading to the looting of Eskom.

The conversation takes a darker turn as he delves into the role of Chancellor House in receiving tenders for building power stations and the involvement of foreign companies. Dagada questions the rationale behind allowing inexperienced politicians to venture into complex sectors like electricity.

Moreover, he touches on the broader social and political ramifications of these actions. The funds allegedly looted from Eskom are, in his view, used to finance political activities and create a facade of widespread support, all while the general population suffers from inadequate electricity supply.

Dagada’s talk is a clarion call for accountability and a reevaluation of South Africa's energy policies. He stresses the importance of telling the truth to the younger generation and urges for serious commitment to service delivery from those in power.

This snippet of the Penuel Show with Mpho Dagada is an eye-opener and a must-watch for anyone interested in the intersections of politics, energy, and finance in South Africa. It challenges viewers to think critically about the narratives we are sold and the future of energy in the country.

Mpho Dagada Criticises South Africa's Solar Focus, Advocates for Nuclear Energy

In this thought-provoking video, Mpho Dagada presents a critical analysis of South Africa's energy strategy, specifically addressing the government's heavy focus on solar panel energy. Dagada argues that this approach is short-sighted and fails to consider the broader potential of nuclear energy, which he advocates as a more sustainable and reliable alternative.

He contrasts South Africa's solar-centric policy with the broader global trend, where major nations like Europe, China, India, and Russia are investing heavily in nuclear power stations, aligning with the objectives of BRICS nations. Dagada questions why South Africa isn't following this global shift towards nuclear, which he views as a missed opportunity for the country to align with international standards for green energy and climate change policies. This video is a compelling watch for anyone interested in the future of energy in South Africa, offering a critical perspective on the country's energy policies and the potential for nuclear power.

🔔 Critical Call for Change: Revolutionising Education in South Africa 🇿🇦

Startling statistics have come to light: Only 10% of our population attains higher education. This is a crucial concern, given the pivotal role of education in securing jobs and driving national development. Our current system is failing our youth, leaving them unprepared for the demands of a global economy.

📘 Look at nations like China, where extensive vocational training equips a vast workforce with practical skills. Our educational approach urgently needs reformation – focusing on applicable skills over outdated theories.

🙌 The moment for decisive action is now. With the upcoming elections, our votes hold the power to reshape our educational landscape. We must select leaders committed to nurturing our youth with the education and skills vital for their prosperity.

🛠 Let's envision a South Africa where every child is equipped for success from the beginning. Your vote is a catalyst for change!

The EFF party leader reportedly stole 2 billion from VBS Mutual Bank

Nearly 2 billion rands was  allegedly stolen by the EFF party leader Julius Malema and nearly 50 corrupt people benefited from that crime. It is hypocritical that the EFF leaders have been pointing fingers at president  Cyril Ramaphosa for the same crime they are also guilty of committing.

South Africa has lost R1.5 trillion to corruption between 2014-2019 and continues to bleed. Our elected leaders continue to steal from the youth, poor, sick, widowed, disabled  and elderly. The EFF laundered money to different companies, some which belonged to their family members and friends.

After the VBS Mutual Bank was drained and their services came to a halt. 15 municipalities were impacted by the VBS bank, mainly in the Limpopo province. The majority of the accounts that were looted belonged to stokvels, burial societies, pensioners and educational investments; leaving the vulnerable people who trusted the VBS bank in dire poverty and hopelessness.

Imagine having a loved one pass on and you being unable to bury them because there is no money in the burial society account or saving educational money for years for your child only to be met with the heartbreaking news that the money was pickpocketed by the corrupt leader of the EFF.

Furthermore, those who benefited from the looting live extravagant lifestyles while the country is sinking deeper into poverty.  How much more of our people’s future must the corrupt unethical lawless leaders steal for the people of South Africa to realize that Julius Malema is also in this for money, power and gain.

Following the charges that were laid in 2018 against 53 people who were implicated in the VBS money heist, only a few perpetrators have been arrested. Those accused face 188 counts of racketeering, corruption, fraud, theft and money laundering.

The consequence of the heist is that the municipality is unlikely to get that money back, which means they are unable to deliver basic needs  such as water supply, completion of hundreds of RDP houses and cannot reimburse losses of the invested money.

The Time is Now: A Call to Transform South Africa's Education System

In the wake of the latest census data, a concerning trend has emerged in South Africa: a mere 10% of our population has attained higher education. This statistic is not just a number; it's a loud wake-up call about the state of our education system and its impact on our nation's future.

#### **The Alarming State of Education**

Education is the backbone of a nation's growth and prosperity. It empowers individuals, fuels economies, and shapes the leaders of tomorrow. Yet, in our beautiful South Africa, the majority of our youth are walking into a world ill-prepared and ill-equipped. They face a competitive global economy where their lack of skills is not just a personal disadvantage but a national setback.

#### **Global Insights: Learning from Others**

Let's turn our gaze internationally for a moment. In countries like China, a starkly different approach to education is evident. Vocational training is not just a component of their education system; it's a cornerstone. It creates a workforce adept in practical skills, ready to tackle the demands of modern industries. Their system churns out skilled workers capable of driving innovation and economic growth.

#### **The Need for an Overhaul in South Africa**

Contrast this with our situation. Our education system clings to outdated theories and practices that no longer serve our youth or our country's needs. The curriculum must evolve, shifting towards imparting practical skills that are relevant in today's fast-paced, technology-driven world. We need to prepare our youth not just to enter the workforce but to excel and innovate within it.

#### **The Power of the Vote: Shaping Our Educational Future**

As we approach the upcoming elections, we are presented with a golden opportunity. Our votes have the power to initiate a transformative change in the education sector. It's imperative that we choose leaders who recognise the importance of education - leaders who are committed to revolutionising our system to foster a generation of skilled, knowledgeable, and empowered youth.

#### **Envisioning a Bright Future**

Imagine a South Africa where every child, regardless of their background, is given the tools for success from the onset. A country where the education system is a ladder to opportunities, not a barrier. This vision can become our reality. Our collective action, our votes, can pave the way for an education system that truly reflects the potential and aspirations of our nation.

#### **Take Action**

As concerned citizens, educators, parents, and students, the time to act is now. We must advocate for change, participate in constructive dialogues, and most importantly, exercise our right to vote with education reform in mind.

Let's unite under the banner of education reform. Let's build a South Africa where every child can dream big and achieve even bigger. Your vote is not just a right; it's a tool for shaping the future of our nation.

Join the movement. Let's make education count.

SA lost R1.5 trillion to corruption in five years and continues to bleed: Would paying whistleblower

South Africa lost R1.5 trillion through corruption in just five years. This is not to mention that some of our elected leaders continue to steal from the poor, hungry, sick and dying.

The judicial inquiry into state capture  chaired by Chief Justice Raymond Zondo, involved no less than 300 witnesses, and is estimated to have cost taxpayers about R1 billion. There were 3,171 summonses issued and 8,655,530 pages of documents used. In the end, 1,438 people were implicated. Now South Africans are left with more questions than answers on whether the commission was worth it at all and if those implicated will see their day in court.

Whistleblowing is an important tool in fighting corruption. In South Africa, the commission of inquiry into state capture recommended that the government should provide protection and financial rewards for whistleblowers who report corruption.

Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi has admitted that whistle-blower Babita Deokaran was murdered for exposing R1 billion worth of irregular tenders issued at the Tembisa Hospital. Deokaran – former chief director: financial accounting at the Gauteng Health Department – may have been killed for exposing how four prominent business families, including top ANC politician Sello Sekhokho, irregularly obtained massive tenders from the hospital.

Offering monetary incentives provides an extra motivation for individuals to take the risk of reporting misconduct, which can ultimately lead to preventing further harm or illegal activities.

Globally, only about 22 countries use money incentives for whistleblowing. Countries like Canada, Ghana, Hungary, Republic of Korea, Montenegro, Nigeria, Slovakia, the UK and the US.

Ultimately, the effectiveness of paying whistleblowers may vary depending on the context, legal framework, and the specific circumstances involved. It is an approach that requires careful consideration, weighing the potential benefits and drawbacks in each situation.

ANC is the reason why we have load-shedding in S.A ( The truth behind chancellor house tender)

The ANC is the reason why we have load shedding. They gave themself a tender to build power stations this tender was worth about 38 billion.

They used a sophisticated look, using  the international company known as Itachi

they set up a company and then merged with that company Chancellor House and Hitachi to

then give themselves a tender from Eskom to build more power stations.

Why is a political party trying to build power stations?  politicians are not engineers they don't have the expertise.

What happens there afterward once this tender is given everything about this tender goes

wrong there's welding that needs to be done in these power stations, timelines on this are wrong and the prices are inflated.

Everything goes wrong  with this ANC chancellor house tender that they gave them

themselves, it goes wrong fast.

Today we all have load-shedding there are not enough power stations that

are who worked on these power stations at the company Chancellor House.

The former public protector of South Africa investigated and said that

the tender was awarded irregularly and it was a corruption tender.

The ANC will not stop unless the people stand up and come together

and show them that this is no way to treat South Africans every day we

suffer load shedding.

Young people are unemployed, more people are dying in hospitals

because of load shedding, we have robots that are dysfunctional.

Isaiah 60:1 reminds us, "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you." Now is the moment to ARISE, to become beacons of hope and progress.

As the sun breaks the night's hold, we remember the words of Luke 1:78-79, "By the tender mercy of our God, the dawn from on high will break upon us." Let us bring forth a new dawn, one where justice, unity, and prosperity shine upon every South African.

ARISE SOUTH AFRICA PEC Elections!Newsletter - 23 November 2023

The President of Arise South Africa chaired three consecutive provincial elections for three different committees this week. Mpumalanga, Eastern Cape, and the Western Cape provinces all had their PEC elections from the 20th to the 22nd of November 2023. Each province member voted in leadership through the categories of a chairperson, secretary, treasurer, and spokesperson these elections ran smoothly. We as Arise South Africa strive for a South Africa where the shackles of inequality, corruption, and despair have been shattered, and replaced by boundless opportunities.

Europe's New Strategy: The Hidden Agenda Behind Recolonizing Africa

The economic challenges faced by certain European countries, especially in the aftermath of the global financial crisis of 2008, led to discussions about sovereign debt crises, austerity measures, and efforts to address economic imbalances within the Eurozone.

It is important to note that several European countries, particularly those in the European Union (EU), have faced economic difficulties in the past, including issues related to public debt, budget deficits, and economic growth.

Our Political party’s President Dagada explains clearly and extensively how Europe has been trying to find various ways to continue to keep colonising Africa through Climate change tactics. Every bit of wealth came from Africa and they are now finding ways to colonise the continent again by importing from European countries. If Africa does not wake up, and African presidents stop taking loans and investing in European countries, we will run ourselves further into debt and continue the vicious cycle of colonialism.

Currency Manipulation: Bank corruption or ANC corruption?

Currency manipulation generally refers to the deliberate interference in the foreign exchange market by a country to gain an unfair advantage, often through actions like artificially devaluing or manipulating its currency.

South Africa, like any other country, may experience fluctuations in its currency value due to various factors such as economic indicators, political stability, trade balances, and global market conditions

On the 22nd of November, news broke out that South African banks had been manipulating the South African rand. This means the South African middle class is “losing” over R10,000 every month. According to Business Tech, this means the basic middle-class income taken home R15,620 a month should be roughly earning R26 122 today to have the same purchasing power they had in 2016, this equates to a loss of R10 499 per month.

Currency manipulation can have significant implications for global trade and economic relationships. It is a contentious issue, and accusations of currency manipulation can lead to tensions between countries. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) and other international bodies often monitor and assess currency practices to promote fair and transparent economic policies.

However, this is an extremely nuanced thing that needs to be fully explained by economists as it is not easily transferable knowledge. The economic conditions in South Africa are currently bad. There is currency manipulation saga started in May 2015, when the commission alleged that banks colluded to rig the value of the rand against the dollar. The inquiry followed a global probe into currency manipulation that was exposed two years earlier, triggering investigations in the US and the UK, and resulting in billions of dollars in settlements.

How can we stop this, the ANC is claiming they had no idea this was what was happening and they are going further with their lies by contesting that Banks need to pay a higher penalty for this currency manipulation case, however, we are not buying it!

As Arise South Africa, we would like the proper authorities to fully investigate what has happened and tell us how we can avoid such heinous crimes of corruption!
