Arise South Africa hosted a youth empowerment program in Limpopo with the aim of inspiring and equipping the young people in the area with necessary knowledge and skills to unlock their potential. The program had various businessmen who spoke to the young people about different opportunities that are available in various sectors of the economy. The aim was to encourage the youth to explore different paths and identify the ones that resonate with their passions and interests.
A representative from Arise SA talked about the importance of youth participation in the upcoming elections and how young people can make a difference in society. In the words of Leader Sandile Shezi, “Our mission is to have 24 million young people vote in the upcoming elections. We believe that young people have the power to shape the future of our country, and we want to help them realize their full potential."
After the empowerment program, the Arise SA team visited a local church in Turflpop that has been under construction for some time. The construction process has stalled due to financial constraints, making it difficult for the community to complete the building. This was a sobering reminder of the challenges communities face when trying to build essential social infrastructure. We are, therefore, appealing to donors to help complete the church building so that the people of Turfloop can have a place of worship and community events. With your generous help, we can make a positive impact on this community.
Representatives from Arise SA reaffirmed their commitment to the cause of youth empowerment, “we believe that young people have the power to create a better future for themselves and for South Africa. That is why we will continue to provide opportunities for learning and growth and to support community development initiatives”
